Up and ComingDecember 12, 2008SAMA Johnstown to open exhibit JOHNSTOWN - ''Colleagues in Cahoots: Carol Goldberg and Laura Winn Kane," the latest exhibition at the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art at Johnstown, highlights the work of two Centre County artists with a love of life and art. The exhibit will be on display Dec. 19 through March 20. The exhibit was previously on displayin the summer at SAMA Altoona. Goldberg, who lives in Boalsburg, is an active member of the Art Alliance of Central Pennsylvania. Kane is originally from New York, but has lived in Pennsylvania since 1995. Mystery Tours feature holidays The fifth and final Allegheny Mountains Convention and Visitors Bureau Mystery Tour of 2008 is now available. "Heritage Holidays in the Alleghenies" lets drivers tour the region and see how local attractions, businesses, organizations and families celebrate the season. Mystery Tours are self-guided driving routes produced by the AMCVB. Each tour offers visitors and residents a peek at the Alleghenies "from a perspective off the beaten path." Tour participants follow the driving instructions, stopping at different attractions, as well as shopping and dining venues, state parks or other locations that coordinate with the tour theme. Mystery Tour instruction packets may be picked up at the Visitors Bureau's Welcome Center, located in the Blair County Convention Center, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until Dec. 24. For more information, call 943-4183. Show celebrating 30th anniversary PITTSBURGH - The beloved musical "Annie" is being shown as part of a 30th anniversary tour. The tale of Little Orphan Annie and Daddy Warbucks will be coming to Pittsburgh's Heinz Hall for eight performances Dec. 23 through Dec. 28, as part of the PNC Broadway Across America - Pittsburgh series. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 23, 1 p.m. Dec. 24, 2 and 8 p.m. Dec. 26 and 27 and 1 and 6:30 p.m. Dec. 28. Tickets for the show range in price from $20.50 to $59 and are available at the Box Office at Theater Square, online at pgharts.org and by calling 412-392-4900. Cosby to perform stand-up show UNIVERSITY PARK - Legendary actor and comedian Bill Cosby will perform two stand-up comedy shows at 7 and 9 p.m. Jan. 23 at Penn State's Eisenhower Auditorium. Tickets for the show will be $44.75 and $49.75 and go on sale on Monday. Tickets can be purchased online at www.cpa.psu. edu or by calling 863-0255 or 1-800-ARTS-TIX. Tickets can also be purchased in person at one of three State College locations: Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State Tickets Downtown and the Bryce Jordan Center.
