Chrysler sale stalls

German news sources continue reporting on the U.S. auto industry problems, which overlap with European branches of automakers.

It's reported here today Italian automaker Fiat cannot purchase the now-bankrupt Chrysler, as planned. At least for now. U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg made the ruling.

Fiat officials said the company would not back away from the deal, and the Obama administration had encouraged it.
