Guitar Hero III world record broken by 14-year-old

February 6, 2009 - Nick Recchia Tom Worthington

I just got finished watching this video and I have to say it blew my mind. This kid breaks the world record in Guitar Hero III on Dragonforce's "Through the Fire and Flames". And anyone who has even tried this song on medium knows how difficult this song truly is. Danny Johnson, of Texas, scored a whopping 973,954 points and a 100% on the song.

The other crazy thing is that this kid spent months practicing and went through a reported 80 guitar controllers in the process. That is some pricey practicing. Luckily he got something in return, other than the world record. He landed an endoresment deal with eMazingGaming.com plus tons of publicity in newspapers and on websites. I don't have to say much more. The video pretty much speaks for itself. I do have to mention the fact that this kid knows the song so well that early on in the video he actually looks away a few times while playing. Showoff...what I'm not jealous. Anyways follow the link to the video and be ready to have your mind blown.
