Scirrotto cleared to play against OSU

Safety Anthony Scirrotto, who suffered a mild concussion last week against Michigan, has been cleared to play Saturday against Ohio State.

Coach Joe Paterno confirmed the news Thursday on his radio show.

Scirrotto is a big key to the Nittany Lions' defense because he's excellent in pass coverage and good against the run. Had he not been able to go, PSU's chances of stopping the Buckeyes would have been significantly hurt.
