Dig through those closets

June 12, 2008 - Kelly Valeri
I can't imagine what it would feel like to watch my house and all of my family's belongings go up in flames. But for one Duncansville couple and their six children, that horror became a reality this week.

Charley and Emily Thompson's home on Third Avenue was a total loss. So it probably goes without saying that they could use some help.

Duncansville Police Chief James Ott said clothing donations are being accepted and can be left on the front porch of the Thompson’s next-door neighbor at 805 Third Ave. Here are the sizes needed:

  • Infant girl clothes size 18- to 24-months and size 3 diapers.
  • Men’s medium shirts and size 31 waist pants.
  • Men’s large shirts and size 34 waist pants.
  • Extra-large men’s shirts and size 34 waist, 30 length pants
  • Women’s size 14/16 clothes and size 8 shoes.

If any clothes matching these specifications are gathering dust in your closet or dresser drawers, please think about sending them to a new home.

I'm sure they will get a lot of use.
